Yard Waste Pickup
County Hauling provides residents with a complimentary Yard Waste Collection Program. These items include shrubbery, brush trimmings, tree trimmings, limbs, twigs, garden residue, and other vegetative materials.
PLEASE NOTE THAT GRASS CLIPPINGS ARE NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN YARD WASTE PICKUP.
If you wish to use your grass clippings, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental protection has some good suggestions on using your grass clippings for fertilizer
on their website.
Additional grass recycling tips can be found here.
After completion of an online registration for the program (click here to register), residents will receive an email confirmation for their upcoming scheduled date. Residents will also receive a reminder email 7 days and 24 hours before their scheduled collection date. Yard waste pickups may be scheduled between March 26 and December 17. See the Holiday Pickup Calendar for exact dates (marked in yellow).
Items must be packaged in biodegradable bags or securely tied in bundles not exceeding 48 inches in length. Branches and limbs must be no more than 3 inches in diameter. Please ensure your items are placed out to the curb prior to 6:00am on your scheduled collection date.
Removal of your items will occur between 6:00am and 6:00pm on your scheduled date.
Yard waste items placed in regular garbage or recycling bags will not be accepted. Dirt, rocks, mulch, grass clippings, and mulch aren't accepted.
For additional information including acceptable/not acceptable items as well as FAQs, visit County Hauling's website.
