Meetings

  • Meetings are schedule on an as needed basis.  The day and time of a hearing will typically be scheduled on a weeknight commencing at 7:00 p.m.  The appeal, request for a variance or request for an extension of time will be held within thirty (30) days for a one-or-two family residential building and within sixty (60) days for a commercial building.

The Appeals Board consists of five (5) regular and two (2) alternate members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Board Details

The Appeals Board has exclusive jurisdiction to hear and render final adjudications regarding appeals of the Building Code Official’s decision, requests for variances and requests for extensions of time in regards to the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (except in accessibility matters; which must be filed with the State Department of Labor and Industry).  

The Appeals Board also has exclusive jurisdiction to hear and render final adjudications regarding appeals of a Fire Code Official or Code Enforcement Officer decision, request for a variance and requests for extensions of time related to the Fire and Property Maintenance Codes.
